We’re at West Ed!
Come see us at 170 St & 90 Ave tonight until 7 pm!
Help us fight homelessness in Edmonton.
Note: Donations to the SOS Human Projects are made care of Mr. Safety.
We are a small, grassroots non-profit organization with big dreams. We strive to provide nutritious meals to the communities most affected by poverty and homelessness. We will help connect those in the community with the services that are already in existence. We will have volunteers who will provide basic first aid and wound care.
We will provide a voice for those struggling to be heard.
We know that not everyone is willing or able to access services offered within the downtown core, so we will bring some of those services out into the community.
We are 100% volunteer run and currently operating with no overhead which means every penny that you donate will help those who are struggling with homelessness and poverty.
Your donation today means they will not be hungry tomorrow.
To be a sponsored family means you do not have to worry about how you will get to work. You can afford to pay rent AND take a sick day. You will have the resources and support to fight your addictions. Your children will have what they need to succeed in school and in life.
To sponsor a family is a commitment that will enrich your life as much as it is enables them to live.
You will know that you had a direct impact to stop the cycle of poverty.
Every aspect of The SOS Human Project is run by volunteers, so we understand the value of their time and efforts.
Your time will not be wasted with us.
"I feel invisible, would anyone notice if I was gone? Would anyone care?"

So many times we pass by a homeless person and make assumptions about their life and the circumstances that led to their homelessness. We aim to dispel those beliefs. We know that very few people choose poverty and homelessness. We know that they had hopes and dreams. We know that poverty is a slippery slope. One day you have a career, you have a car, your kids are in a great daycare. Then you get hit with job loss, divorce or COVID-19 and you lose everything.
People who are experiencing homelessness need a place to tell their story because we need to learn the true value of life.
We are currently building our first mobile meal service trailer. We will be going out into the community where homelessness and poverty are prevalent. We will serve nutritious meals, fruit as well as coffee and water for adults, children will get a juice box and a special treat.
The SOS Human Project will work closely with sponsors, participants and the community to help end the cycle of poverty, one family at a time. Our Sponsor a Future program will be a monumental undertaking.
All applicants will be thoroughly screened to ensure that they are ready and willing to do the hard work needed. Once approved they will be mentored and coached in life skills, parenting, budgeting, nutrition and addiction. Only once they have completed this phase will they qualify for sponsorship.
Our sponsors need to be prepared for a minimum of one year commitment. As a sponsor you can choose to sponsor a family or an education on your own, or join a pool of other sponsors who will work together to sponsor a future.
Only heroes need apply!
With the aim of helping as many people as possible, we always need enthusiastic volunteers. Please contact us for more information.
Without the help of our generous sponsors, our non-profit would have never lifted off the ground. From our team to yours - Thank You.
